TheWardsonFleetwood Day 1

We have closed on our hopeful "forever" house on August 21st.

What we love about the house:

1. The Neighbors!
2. No wasted space- floor plan is all livable.  No huge front living room that will never be used that is so common in SE Decatur ranchers.
3. Needs some TLC-  we are always looking for a project!
4,  The refuge across the street and the Point Mallard trails a slight jog away.  Not to mention DeDe, Pops, Nana and Grandaddy a stroll away too!

Here are the pictures from Day 1

Front of the house- we hear the neighbors are taking bets on how long it takes us to chop down the extremely awkward pine tree in the front yard...
Front up close
Plans to block in columns and add cedar shutters.

Another view of the font with the awkward pine tree engulf.  Mr Green thumb (aka My Dad) can't wait to get his hands on the landscaping.  He has done his assessment and his plot to re-do is in place.

Front dining room

Kitchen looking at dining room and front door.  The plan is to move this piece to added kitchen space, and this view will be open to front of house with a large island that contrasts the current kitchen cabinetry and countertops with a dark base and light countertops.
Beautiful glazed cabinets, slate floor and stainless appliances already in place

Kitchen with Master bedroom entrance to the right

Master bedroom-  plans include master bath off the back with french doors out to porch from left side.  Hardwood floors (thank goodness my father-in-law is handy and can put them down!) will go down.

Current Master bath and closet. All this will become pantry and more kitchen space.

Den View 1- towards front of the house into the half bath and laundry room

Half Bath. Plans are for pedestal sink to make room for door off den to separate the bath from the laundry room so guest don't have to walk through the laundry to the bathroom!
