Week 6&7

AC work is done! Earl with Tim Johnson Service company was fabulous!

We are official with the building permit, outside work has begun.

Trenches for foundation dug.

Rebar in.

Drew, Mary and Dell have been busy painting....
First coat of Kilz on the rec room and hallway below. I am in a quandary of how to handle painting the fireplace shelving.  Current background color was old color of the room which will be changed, but should we paint it all trim color? Including the brick? Current gold fire screen will be removed.

Drew priming the kitchen.

The contractor kitchen work is almost done except for finishing out some electrical work.  The kitchen and the dining room are now completely open to each other.

Granite was placed on the island Monday.

Upstairs is ALMOST done....

Wall patched and almost done painting.

Closets painted and Mike's water heater project done.

Hall Bath done.

Carpet pulled out.

And the little things are being done...

Old gold knobs
Replaced with bronze

And outside knobs.

We have AC! The upstairs unit is up and running.

We have a variance granted! Thank you to all our kind neighbors who supported us on this.

New Slate laid in the expansion of the kitchen.
Mike's boxing in the water heater project in an upstairs closet is well on its way.

The kitchen island is in. Shannon Thomas with Thomas Woodworks did a great job!

Week 4

Kitchen wall down. Island will go in the middle.  New pantry to the right.
View from kitchen of kitchen and dining room opened up.

Air conditioning work has begun.

All duct work ripped out.
